BWA is able to accommodate people with a various disabilities including, but not limited to, spinal cord injury, post polio, amputation, Down Syndrome, autism, multiple sclerosis, cerebral palsy, and hearing or visual impairment. We use a variety of techniques and equipment to meet the diverse needs of adaptive sports enthusiasts.

BWA is a chapter of Disabled Sports/USA and partners with AbilityPLUS at Waterville Valley and New England Disabled Sports (NEDS) at Loon in the Northeast Adaptive Sports Coalition (NEASC) to provide additional recreational offerings.

All BWA recreational sports and activities are supported by a staff of well trained and experienced volunteers. Our volunteers come from all over New England and are of all ages - high school students to retirees. Some volunteers have disabilities themselves and know first-hand the challenges and triumphs faced by participants and their families.
